ARGOOS were led to their 5.3 point victory by a 34.8 point effort from DeAngelo Williams, who beat the New York Giants defense for 108 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs. With this performance, Williams was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 27.3 point effort from Peyton Manning, who tore apart the Jacksonville Jaguars defense for 364 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 1 rushing yards. "You dream about this as a kid," ARGOOS coach Eric Bourbonnais said. Illio Pirates were helped out in a losing cause by a 26.4 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for 287 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. They also got help from a 18.7 point effort from Antonio Bryant, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 127 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. "They own us," Illio Pirates coach Shawn Gordy said. Compounding the issue, Illio Pirates could have scored 111.6 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Shawn Gordy left key players like Tashard Choice and his corresponding 17.5 points on the bench. Illio Pirates drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 9 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 16. This brings the record for ARGOOS to 8-5, and drops Illio Pirates to a record of 8-5. | ||||
