.Cardinals | Fitzgerald moves up franchise receptions list (KFFL) Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald passed former WR Frank Sanders to move into fourth place on the team's career receptions list. Fitzgerald currently has 497 career receptions. 3 hours
.Vikings | Peterson one yard shy of 1,000 for the season (KFFL) Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson finished Week 11 with 82 rushing yards, leaving him with 999 rushing yards on the season. Peterson went over the 1,000-yard mark in the third quarter, but he lost two yards in the fourth quarter. 4 hours
.Terrell Owens (RotoWire) Owens had a monster day in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, catching nine balls for 197 yards and a touchdown, the longest offensive play in Bills history. Analysis: Given that Owens had a 26/366/1 line for the entire season prior to Sunday, this definitely constitutes a breakout performance. The Bills targeted him all afternoon, and we'd imagine new coach Perry Fewell will keep feeding Owens so long as he can keep getting open and doesn't start dropping numerous balls again. On his Twitter account, Owens was offering a trip and tickets to Buffalo's next game if anyone predicted his stats for the Jacksonville game. Let's just say we didn't hit the 9/197/1 line.5 hours
.Owens has huge game Week 11 (TheHuddle) The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills WR Terrell Owens caught nine passes for 197 yards and one touchdown in Week 11. He also set a franchise record with a 98-yard touchdown reception. Analysis: Owens finally broke out of his season-long drought to post numbers that fantasy owners are accustomed to seeing from the talented wideout. Buffalo has a new coach and a new offensive philosophy which could make a difference for fantasy owners who have Owens on their roster for the playoff push in fantasy leagues this year.5 hours
.Clary carted off with ankle injury (FFChamps) San Diego Chargers' tackle Jeromey Clary was carted off the field Sunday with a left ankle injury. Clary injured the ankle when a Bronco defender rolled up on his leg. He did not return to San Diego's 32-3 rout of division rival Denver. Analysis: In the post-game presser, coach Norv Turner alluded to Clary's injury potentially being of the significant variety. San Diego's offense is purring right now, but every chain is only as strong as it's weakest link...Brandyn Dombrowski is Clary's backup, and will most likely be the man who steps up and tries to avoid being that weak link.6 hours
.Giants | Jacobs says he could've played in overtime Week 11 (KFFL) Updating a previous item, Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) never returned to the team's Week 11 game after injuring his right knee. Jacobs said, "I could've went back in during overtime, but coach wanted to be more explosive and we've got two great backs that had control of the game. It didn't really make any sense for me to go in." 6 hours
.Jacobs injured Week 11 (TheHuddle) The Associated Press reports New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (leg) had 12 carries for 39 yards with a touchdown Week 11 before leaving with right leg injury in the third quarter. There was no immediate word on the severity of the injury. Analysis: Jacobs was out of the contest during most of the fourth quarter and the overtime period and should be evaluated further on Monday to determine the severity of the injury. Fantasy owners could expect an increase in carries for Ahmad Bradshaw if Jacobs is out of action for any length of time.8 hours
.Chargers | Rivers effective Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers went 17-for-22 for 145 yards and one touchdown in Week 11. 8 hours
.Warner leaves with head injury (FFChamps) Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Kurt Warner left today's game against the St. Louis Rams after taking a blow to the head in the second quarter. Before exiting, Warner completed 15-of-19 passes, for 203 yards and two scores. He did not return in the second half, and Matt Leinart finished 10-of-14 for 74 yards in mop-up duty in a 21-13 Cardinals victory. Analysis: The extent of Warner's injury is unknown at this point, but at the ripe ol' age of 38, Kurt's fantasy owners have to be holding their breath a little bit today. If you are a Warner o... 10.Larry Fitz scores yet again (Rotoworld) Larry Fitzgerald caught eight balls for 87 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 11 win. Analysis: Fitz paced Arizona with 12 targets. He has scored four touchdowns in his last three games and will again be a good bet for a TD in Week 12 at Tennessee.9 hours
.Larry Fitzgerald (RotoWire) Fitzgerald caught eight passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win at St. Louis. Analysis: He leads the NFL with nine receiving touchdowns and he ranks fourth with 71 receptions. Yes, Fitzgerald's YPC is down a bit and yes, he only has two 100-yard games this season, but he's still having a monster season.9 hours
.Santonio Holmes (RotoWire) Holmes had seven receptions for 86 yards against the Chiefs in Week 11. Analysis: Holmes continues to get his looks (10 targets Sunday) and yards, but he also continues to frustrate anyone who has him in touchdown-heavy leagues. He failed to find the endzone for the ninth straight game Sunday.9 hours
.Rivers held to 145 yards in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Philip Rivers completed 17-of-22 passes for 145 yards and one touchdown against the Broncos in Week 11. Analysis: He started the game 11-of-12 with the Broncos showing no pass rush whatsoever. Rivers was nearly flawless for the second straight week, but the Chargers stopped passing after jumping out to an early lead. He'll bounce back with a stronger fantasy performance next week against the Chiefs.9 hours
.Packers | Grant goes over 100-yard mark Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers RB Ryan Grant rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries in Week 11. 10 hours
.Ryan Grant suffered a stinger (Rotoworld) Ryan Grant revealed that he suffered a stinger late in Sunday's win. Analysis: Grant came out of the game briefly, but says the injury is minor and "appeared fine" in the locker room afterwards. The Packers face Detroit on Thanksgiving Day, however, so Grant's practice status will be worth watching.10 hours
.Giants | Jacobs injured Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (leg) had 12 carries for 39 yards with a touchdown Week 11 before leaving with right leg injury in the third quarter. There was no immediate word on the severity of the injury. 11 hours
.Santonio Holmes totals 86 yards in Week ... (Rotoworld) Santonio Holmes caught seven passes for 86 yards against the Chiefs in Week 11. Analysis: It's almost an identical stat line to last week's performance. Holmes now has 20 catches in his last three games after having just 21 in his first fix. He's yet to find the end zone since Week 1, so he's due for a score at Baltimore next week.11 hours
.Brandon Jacobs fine after knee scare Sun... (Rotoworld) Brandon Jacobs said after Sunday's win that his knee injury is not an issue, and he could have gone back in the game if necessary. Analysis: The Giants originally announced that Jacobs would return late in the game, but his helmet was off and he never came back in. At this point, there's no reason to believe he won't start this week's game at Denver.11 hours
.Ryan Grant gets 23 touches in win (Rotoworld) Ryan Grant carried 21 times for 129 yards and a touchdown, and caught two passes for 16 yards, in the Packers' Week 11 win. Analysis: Grant saved his best game of the year for the team that is allowing the fewest yards per carry in the league. The Packers used their dangerous air attack to set up the run, and Grant capitalized with a 7.0 first-half YPC. He closed the game with 11 second-half carries. Grant, typically a strong finisher, has a much more favorable matchup against Detroit in Week 12.11 hours
.Kevin Smith totals 149 yards, TD in win (Rotoworld) Kevin Smith rushed 12 times for 45 yards and caught four passes for 104 yards and one touchdown in Week 11 against the Browns. Analysis: Detroit didn't need to run much against Cleveland's sieve-like pass defense, so Smith did most of his damage on a pair of catches that came after play-action fakes to him coming out of the backfield. The first such play left him completely uncovered for a 64-yard gain and the second was a 25-yard touchdown.11 hours
.Bills | Owens has huge game Week 11 (KFFL) The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills WR Terrell Owens caught nine passes for 197 yards and one touchdown in Week 11. He also set a franchise record with a 98-yard touchdown reception. 11 hours
.Cassel leads Chiefs to upset victory (Rotoworld) Matt Cassel completed 15-of-30 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns against the Steelers in Week 11. Analysis: Cassel struggled to muster a passing attack for most of the afternoon, but he came up big down the stretch. He hooked up twice with Chris Chambers and once with Lance Long for big plays late in the fourth quarter and in overtime. Cassel has been over 200 yards in three straight games, but he's still no more than a QB2 at San Diego next week.12 hours
.Peterson rushes for 82 yards in Week 11 ... (Rotoworld) Adrian Peterson rushed 24 times for 82 yards and caught four passes for 16 yards in Week 11 against the Seahawks. Analysis: Peterson was held in check following a strong first half and failed to score for just the third time all season. He actually went over 1,000 yards on the season midway through the third quarter only to go back under with a negative run, and gave way to Chester Taylor in mop-up time.12 hours
.Owens racks up 197 yards, TD in Week 11 (Rotoworld) Terrell Owens caught nine passes for 197 yards and a touchdown but the Bills couldn't pull out a win against the Jags in Week 11. Analysis: Owens accounted for over half of the Bills' total yardage, which is nearly unheard of at the wide receiver position. He was QB Ryan Fitzpatrick's go-to guy from the start and hauled in a massive 98-yard touchdown in the third quarter. It was the longest pass play in Bills history.12 hours
.Brandon Jacobs sidelined with knee injur... (Rotoworld) Brandon Jacobs was sidelined with a knee injury late in the third quarter of Sunday's game. Analysis: Jacobs stayed down for awhile, with trainers checking out his knee. He was able to walk off under his own power, and it looks like he has a chance to come back in the game. He's on the sidelines making cuts to test the knee, and the Giants announced that he is expected to return.13 hours
.Chiefs inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The Kansas City Chiefs have announced the following players as inactive for today's game against the Oakland Raiders: QB Matt Guitierrez, CB Donald Washington, RB Dantrell Savage, OLB Mike Vrabel, LB Justin Rogers, OG Andy Alleman, TE Jake O'Connell, and LB David Herron. Analysis: The Chiefs will be without Mike Vrabel on Sunday which could mean an even bigger day for Rashard Mendenhall and the Steelers run game. Starting guard Andy Alleman is inactive and his loss will be felt i... (More)16 hours

Analysis: The Pack won't be missing any regulars today against the 49ers. Ahman Green was stealing a few touches from lead back Ryan Grant, but nothing significant. His loss may mean an extra carry or two for Grant, who has been consi... (More)16 hours
.Falcons inactives for Week 11 (FFChamps) The Atlanta Falcons have declared the following players as inactive for today's game against the New York Giants: RB Michael Turner, RB Jerious Norwood, WR Brian Finneran, LB Spencer Adkins, OT Garrett Reynolds, DT Trey Lewis, OL Quinn Ojinnaka, and third QB John Parker Wilson. Analysis: Jason Snelling will get the start at running back for the Falcons, and the answer to the question of how much time would be split between he and More)17 hours
.Falcons | Turner will not play (KFFL) Rachel Nichols, of ESPN, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) will not play during Week 11. He will be inactive. RB Jason Snelling will start in his place. 17 hours
.Turner will not play, Snelling starts fo... (Rotoworld) ESPN's Rachel Nichols reports that Michael Turner (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Giants, and Jason Snelling will get the start for the Falcons. Analysis: Turner was listed as doubtful on the injury report and has no timetable for return. He is likely out for a couple of weeks with a high ankle sprain. Snelling and Aaron Stecker will try to fill in as best as they can for the Falcons. Struggling QB Matt Ryan will have to carry the offense with Turner absent.17 hours
.Breaston limited Friday, should play Sunday (FFChamps) Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Steve Breaston (knee) was limited in Friday's practice, but is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. Analysis: Breaston should play, and the Cardinals will throw. The Rams' secondary gets torched on a regular basis, and this weekend should be no different. Breaston is a top-15 play at wideout this Sunday, and owners should insert him into their Week 11 starting lineups in all formats.2 days
.Turner doubtful (FFChamps) Atlanta Falcons' running back Michael Turner is listed as doubtful for this Sunday's game against the New York Giants because of the high ankle sprain he sustained last week.  He did not practice all week. Analysis: OK, Michael Turner isn't going to play. You heard it here first. Enough already. The only question for the Birds this weekend is whether Jerious Norwood will steal some of Jason Snelling's third-string... (More)2 days
.Gates practices, is probable (FFChamps) San Diego Chargers' tight end Antonio Gates practiced in full on Friday, and is listed as probable against the Denver Broncos. Analysis: It's the biggest game of the year in the AFC West (a.k.a., the ONLY game in the AFC West that will matter all year), so expect Gates to suit-up and be roaming the middle of the suddenly Charmin-esque Broncos' defense come Sunday. Unfortunately for Gates, a certain Brian Dawkins also calls this territory home, and though Denver has shown cracks the last few weeks, we think Dawkins' presence downgrades Gates to a borderline No. 1/No. 2 fantasy tight end this weekend.2 days
.Falcons' Michael Turner doubtful; Roddy White, Jerious Norwood questionable (FFToolbox) Three of the Atlanta Falcons' more critical offensive skill players are at least questionable to play Sunday against the New York Giants. Running back Michael Turner is the most unlikely of the three to participate. He has not practiced since suffering a high right ankle sprain last Sunday and is listed as doubtful. Jason Snelling is expected to start in his place. Fellow backup running back Jerious Norwood was reportedly a "long shot" to play earlier in the week, but he practi... (More)2 days
.Michael Turner (RotoWire) Turner (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants, the New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano reports. Analysis: Atlanta hasn't officially ruled Turner out, but there is almost no chance that he plays Sunday. The majority of the carries should fall to Jason Snelling, although Jerious Norwood (hip) could be a factor as well. With no timetable set for his return, this may not be the only game Turner misses.2 days
.Turner doubtful; Jerious Norwood questio... (Rotoworld) Michael Turner (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Week 11 after missing his third straight practice Friday. Analysis: Even listing Turner as "doubtful" is generous; coach Mike Smith admits that he has no timetable for return. Turner is in danger of missing several weeks with a high ankle sprain. Jerious Norwood (hip) practiced Friday and is listed as questionable, but is unlikely to be a major threat to Jason Snelling's carries after sitting out for the last month. Snelling will start at the Giants.2 days
.Falcons | Turner doubtful for Week 11 (KFFL) D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 20. He is listed as doubtful for Week 11 and is not expected to play. 2 days
.Chiefs | Bradley, Wade to share snaps while Bowe out (KFFL) Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs WRs Mark Bradley and Bobby Wade will share snaps at receiver while WR Dwayne Bowe is suspended. Bradley has downfield speed but has dropped some passes while Wade has good hands but is not much of a big-play threat. 2 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith caught seven passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss to Miami. Analysis: Despite the lack of other wideouts around him to draw the attention of opposing defenses, Smith has quietly started to produce for his fantasy owners in recent weeks. Over the last four games, Smith is averaging 12 fantasy points per game with 18 catches for 241 yards and four touchdowns during that span.2 days
.Steve Smith posts 87 yards, TD in loss (Rotoworld) Steve Smith led the Panthers with seven receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins in Week 7. Analysis: It could have been so much better. Smith was open all night against single coverage, including twice on deep balls, but Jake Delhomme consistently under- or over-threw his playmaker. His leaping 27-yard touchdown was a reminder that he catches in traffic as well as any receiver in the league. Smith will see plenty of shutdown corner Darrelle Revis next week, but he's tough to sit with three scores in his past two games.3 days
.Norwood practices for first time in a month (FFChamps) Atlanta Falcons' running back Jerious Norwood practiced with the team for the first time in over a month, albeit on a limited basis. The Falcons' No. 2 back has been out since October 18th with a hip injury, and seems unlikely to play a significant role this Sunday against the New York Giants. With starter Michael Turner also likely being sidelined due to his high ankle sprain, third-stringer Jason Snelling should get the start in New York. Analysis: Norwood is an explosive back ... 42.Turner misses practice Thursday (TheHuddle) The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 19, and is unlikely to play in Week 11. Analysis: Turner is likely to be a gametime decision but is likely to miss the Week 11 contest which would open the door for backup running back Jason Snelling to get the start. High ankle sprains have a tendency to linger for a few weeks which could limit Turner even when he does return to the lineup for the Falcons in the near future.3 days
.Smith involved in minor car accident in Week (TheHuddle) The NFL Network, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident when he was traveling to Bank of America Stadium for the team's Week 11 game. He is fine and will be able to play in the game. Analysis: Smith is in the lineup and performing normally for the Panthers against the visiting Miami Dolphins. He is showing no ill effects from the accident and has already been targeted on several occasions with deep passes which indicates that the talented wideout is going full speed ahead in the game. Smith remains a solid No. 2 wideout for fantasy teams this year.3 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith was involved in a minor car accident on the way to Thursday's games against Miami but will play, the Associated Press reports. His name does not appear on the inactive list. Analysis: A team official said somebody "bumped into" Smith's car, and it doesn't appear as if Smith sustained any injuries. There's no need to downgrade him or consider pulling him out of your lineup.3 days
.Panthers | Smith involved in minor car accident in Week 11 (KFFL) Jason La Canfora, of the NFL Network, reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident when he was traveling to Bank of America Stadium for the team's Week 11 game. He is fine and will be able to play in the game. 3 days
.Steve Smith involved in car accident (Rotoworld) Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident en route to Thursday's game against the Dolphins, but it won't affect his playing status. Analysis: Team spokesman Charlie Dayton said somebody "bumped into Smith," but the receiver was uninjured and will start against Miami. With Jake Delhomme starting to exhibit some stability, we Smith ranked No. 16 among fantasy WRs this week.3 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith is fully expected to play Thursday night against the Dolphins. He was not listed on the injury report all week. Analysis: Smith hurt his ribs during last Sunday's win over Atlanta, but should be at or near 100 percent on Thursday night. He is safe to start.3 days
.Falcons | Turner misses practice Thursday (KFFL) D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 19, and is unlikely to play in Week 11. 3 days
.Chiefs | Bradley, Bowe to share snaps while Bowe out (KFFL) Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs WRs Mark Bradley and Bobby Wade will share snaps at receiver while WR Dwayne Bowe is suspended. Bradley has downfield speed but has dropped some passes while Wade has good hands but is not much of a big-play threat. 3 days
.Falcons coach: No timetable on Turner's ... (Rotoworld) Michael Turner (high ankle sprain) missed practice Thursday as expected, and coach Mike Smith said there's no timetable for the running back's return. Analysis: Turner almost certainly will sit out this week. The Falcons play the Bucs in Week 12 and Turner could be rested that week as well. We're considering Turner "week to week" for now, with Jason Snelling as the starter and Jerious Norwood (questionable, hip) his backup.3 days
.Cowboys | Folk may handle kickoff duties Week 11 (KFFL) Charean Williams, of the Fort-Worth Star Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys PK Nick Folk will handle kickoff duties in Week 11 if PK David Buehler (toe) is not able to play. 3 days
.Norwood still very iffy for Week 11 (FFChamps) According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Falcons' running back Jerious Norwood is a "long shot" to play this weekend, when the team travels to New York to play the Giants. Analysis: Michael Turner's high ankle sprain has opened the door for another back in Atlanta to get some run.Norwood started the season as the Falcons' No. 2 option in the backfield, but he has missed the last four games with a hip flexor. That allowed Jason Snelling to step in last week... (More)4 days
.Falcons | Turner misses practice Wednesday (KFFL) Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) missed the team's practice Wednesday, Nov. 18. 4 days
.Turner held out of practice (FFChamps) Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner was held out of practice on Wednesday due to his high right ankle sprain. "He’s been working real hard in the training room to get back as quick as he can," head coach Mike Smith told the team's web site regarding Turner following Wednesday's practice. "We’re hoping he will continue to progress. He has made a lot of strides in the 48 hours or so since the end of the game." Analysis: Neither the team nor the player is counting Turner out of this weekend's game against the Giants, but fantasy owners should. Even if he tries play... (More)4 days
.Michael Turner misses practice (Rotoworld) Michael Turner (high ankle sprain) missed practice on Wednesday. Analysis: Falcons coach Mike Smith says Turner "worked hard" in the training room and has "made strides", but he's almost certainly not going to practice all week. Returning for Week 12 would probably be a best-case scenario for Turner.4 days
.Falcons | Turner not ruling himself out for Week 11 (KFFL) D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) said he is not ruling himself out of the team's Week 11 game despite suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 10. "I don't have a time frame on the injury. I'm not going to count myself out right now. It's only Wednesday. I'm going to take a couple of days. Later on in the week, I'll know for sure if I'll be able to play or not," Turner said. Head coach Mike Smith has said Turner is considered day-to-day. 4 days
.Turner has 'no time frame' to return (Rotoworld) Michael Turner admitted Wednesday that he has "no time frame" to return from his high ankle sprain. Analysis: Turner hasn't ruled himself out for Week 11 at the Giants, but there's next to no chance that he'll play. If he's active, he'll be at significantly less than 100 percent. Expect Jason Snelling to handle the bulk of the workload.4 days
.Mark Bradley (RotoWire) Bradley could have an expanded role in the Chiefs' offense during Dwayne Bowe's four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Analysis: Since Week 3, Bradley hasn't scored a touchdown or topped 35 yards receiving in a game. The increased targets in Bowe's absence should help, but you're probably better off grabbing a receiver who plays in a more prolific passing offense.4 days
.Michael Turner (RotoWire) The Falcons re-signed Aaron Stecker on Tuesday for support in the running game as Turner's (ankle) status for Sunday against the Giants is still unknown, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Analysis: With the signing of Stecker, one would think that things aren't looking good for Turner playing on Sunday. However, don't jump to conclusions just yet -- Turner has had a history of playing and performing well with injuries throughout his five-year career. Turner had 428 rushing yards in the three games, averaging a staggering 9.1 yards per carry over that span, so we're definitely locked in to his situation and will give you updates as they come to us.5 days
.Terrell Owens (RotoWire) Owens' coach, Dick Jauron, has been fired by the Bills. Analysis: There's no word yet who the new coach will be, but we'd have to guess that Jauron's firing can only help Owens' drastically reduced fantasy value, as Jauron is too conservative and lacked the creativity to allow the passing game to shine in his system. This offense still needs more than just a new coach for Owens to start being more productive, mostly because the offensive line is a mess, but if you can pluck T.O. off the scrap heap for practically nothing either on the wire or via trade, at least it has a chance of paying off now.5 days
.Bowe suspended four games (FFChamps) Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. The announcement was made today via email from the league and the suspension will begin immediately. Analysis: You can stick a fork in the fantasy values of Bowe and Matt Cassel. Bowe will not be cleared to play again until Week 15, by which time most teams will be out of the fantasy playoffs. Give a slight bump up in the values of Chris ChambersMore)5 days
.Matt Cassel (RotoWire) Cassel's top wideout Dwayne Bowe was suspended four games on Tuesday for violating the NFL performance enhancing drug policy, the KC Star reports. Analysis: Chris Chambers, Mark Bradley and Lance Long will likely see the extra targets in Bowe's absence, but Cassel gets a slight downgrade without his most productive wideout available over the next four weeks.5 days
.Steve Smith (RotoWire) Smith (ribs) hasn't been listed on the Panthers' injury report on Monday or Tuesday. Analysis: It's possible that he'll end up being listed as probable after Wednesday's practice, but Smith's rib injury suffered on his second TD catch of Sunday's win over Atlanta appears to be a non-issue. Smith and the Panthers have a very favorable matchup on Thursday against a Dolphins secondary that ranks 27th in the NFL against the pass (239.4 YPG, 11 TD allowed).5 days
.Brandon Jacobs (RotoWire) Jacobs has averaged 5.1 yards per carry over the last four weeks, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Analysis: Jacobs' problems from early in the year were due to running the departed Derrick Ward's plays which required more stopping and starting to which Jacobs, given his massive frame, is less suited. But the last four weeks, the Giants have had him run in more of the downhill style he did last year. With Danny Ware now back to handle more third-down duties, Jacobs can focus on power running.6 days
.Ryan Grant (RotoWire) Grant had 19 carries for 79 yards in Sunday's win over Dallas. Analysis: Dallas isn't an easy team to run against, but Grant averaged a respectable 4.2 yards per attempt. He's quietly averaged nearly 80 rushing yards per game this season.6 days
.Turner has high ankle sprain (FFChamps) Updating an earlier report, Falcons running back Michael Turner reportedly does have a high ankle sprain rather than just an ankle sprain. The high ankle sprain diagnosis is being reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution. It is unknown how long he will be sidelined, but the Falcons have re-signed Aaron Stecker for running back depth. Analysis: Jerious Norwood is ready to return from the strained right hip flexor that has sidelined him the last four games. Norwood should be a ... (More)6 days

.Michael Turner (RotoWire) Turner has a high ankle sprain, but so far the Falcons are not discussing how that will affect his Week 11 availability, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. "We're not going to give a competitive advantage to our next opponent on Monday afternoon," coach Mike Smith said. Analysis: Given the tricky nature of high ankle sprains, Turner sounds iffy, at best, for Sunday's game against the Giants, so plan accordingly. If he is unable to go this week, look for Jason Snelling and quite possibly Jerious Norwood (assuming he returns) to fill in.6 days
.Falcons | Snelling could start in Week 11 (KFFL) ESPN.com reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling could start in Week 11 if RB Michael Turner (ankle) is unable to play. 6 days
.Michael Turner (RotoWire) Turner is reportedly dealing with a high ankle sprain, Fox's Jay Glazer reports. Analysis: We are still awaiting further details, but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that "coach Mike Smith said Turner will play again in 2009." That in itself infers that he will miss some time, but we'll await confirmation. As a result, Jason Snelling and/or Jerious Norwood are players to target to see how this turns out.6 days
.Falcons confident Turner will be back (Rotoworld) Coach Mike Smith said Monday that the Falcons are "very confident" Michael Turner (high ankle sprain) will play again in 2009. Analysis: We're going to guess that Turner will miss two games and be considered day to day from there. All signs point to his high ankle sprain not being as serious as injuries of that nature usually are. Jason Snelling should top fantasy league waiver pickups this week. Turner ran for 111 yards on nine carries before he left the game with 9:08 left in the second quarter. He was replaced by Jason Snelling, who ran pretty well, albeit against a prett... (More)6 days

.Turner undergoes MRI on ankle (FFChamps) Falcons running back Michael Turner is undergoing an MRI on his injured right ankle today, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. (Rotoworld) Brandon Jacobs was struggling early in the year because he was being asked to run the plays Derrick Ward used to handle, according to running backs coach Jerald Ingram. Analysis: Ingram says the Giants were forced to use Jacobs in passing situations because Danny Ware was hurt. Now that Ware is back, Jacobs won't be asked to run draws or east west. Not sure if we're buying this as an excuse for Jacobs early season struggles, but it's good to hear that he'll be used as strictly a downhill runner in the second half.6 days
